Refund Policy

This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all purchases of Clippings subscriptions and any other paid digital products or services we offer ("Digital Content").

1. All Sales Are Final

Clippings subscription fees and other Digital Content purchases are non-refundable once payment is processed, except as required by law or as explicitly stated in this policy. This applies to the full subscription period you paid for, including if you stop using the Service, downgrade, or cancel auto-renewal before the end of a paid period — cancellation stops *future* billing but does not refund the *current* period. This reflects the nature of Digital Content: once we grant access, we cannot "return" it the way a physical good can be returned.

2. Digital Content — Immediate Access & Waiver of Withdrawal Right (EU/UK)

If you are a consumer located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you would normally have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason (the "cooling-off period"). Because Clippings is Digital Content that we begin supplying to you immediately (you get access to paid features as soon as payment succeeds), the law allows us to ask you to waive that right — but only if we get your explicit, separate consent to immediate performance and your acknowledgment that doing so ends your withdrawal right.

How we obtain this consent: at checkout, before payment is charged, you must actively check a box separate from your general agreement to the Terms of Service, reading substantially:

"☐ I consent to Anujiv LLP beginning to provide Clippings to me immediately, and

I acknowledge that by doing so **I lose my right to withdraw from this purchase and cancel for

a refund** under the EU/UK 14-day cooling-off rules."

We will not process your payment or grant access until this box is checked. We keep a durable record (timestamp, account, and the exact consent text shown) of this consent as required by law.

If required by law in a specific jurisdiction and this waiver is found unenforceable there (or you did not receive the consent flow above, e.g. due to a bug), we will honor the statutory withdrawal right for that purchase instead of this Section.

3. Auto-Renewal Disclosure & Cancellation

Before you subscribe, we disclose (clearly and separately from other terms, as required by California's Automatic Renewal Law and similar state laws): the subscription price, that it automatically renews monthly until canceled, and how to cancel. You can cancel auto-renewal any time in account settings or by emailing support@useclippings.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you retain access until then. Canceling does not retroactively refund any part of the current or past periods.

4. Exceptions — When We Do Refund

We make an exception to Section 1 and will refund (in whole or part, at our discretion) where:

  • You were charged in error — e.g. a duplicate charge, a charge after you successfully

canceled, or a charge for the wrong amount/plan.

  • The Service was materially unavailable for a sustained period due to our fault and we were

unable to remedy it.

  • Applicable law requires a refund regardless of this policy (for example, certain

consumer-protection or unfair-contract-term laws that cannot be waived by agreement, or if the Section 2 waiver is found invalid for your purchase).

To request a refund under this Section, contact support@useclippings.com within 30 days of the charge with your account email and the reason. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

4a. India consumers (Consumer Protection Act, 2019)

If you are a consumer in India, nothing in Section 1 removes rights you have under India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot be contracted away. In particular, if the Service suffers from a "deficiency" (a fault, shortcoming, or inadequacy in the quality or manner of performance we are required to provide), you may be entitled to a remedy regardless of the "all sales final" rule, and you may raise the matter with our Grievance Officer (see the Terms of Service §16) and, if unresolved, with the consumer dispute redressal commissions. The no-refund rule in Section 1 is intended to apply to change-of-mind and non-defect cancellations, not to a genuine deficiency in the Service.

5. How Refunds Are Processed

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through Dodo Payments and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer. Because Dodo Payments is the merchant of record, it is also the counterparty of record for any payment dispute or chargeback you file with your bank — please contact us first at support@useclippings.com so we can resolve billing issues directly, faster than a card dispute, and without a chargeback fee.

6. Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account pending resolution, and, where permitted by your card network's rules and applicable law, we (or Dodo Payments on our behalf) may dispute unwarranted chargebacks by submitting evidence of service delivery and your acceptance of this policy at signup.
